Our Recommendation
8.8

Right Side of the Plane

While both sides offer stunning views of the Balkans and Central Europe, the right side is preferred for sightings of Mount Olympus and the iconic Oresund Bridge during the descent into Copenhagen.

Right Side Highlights

⚡

Mount Olympus

The legendary home of the gods and Greece's highest peak, often rising above the clouds.

🏙️

Belgrade and the Danube

The confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers at the heart of the Serbian capital.

💧

Lake Balaton

The largest lake in Central Europe, known for its distinctive milky green-blue color.

🌊

Danube River

Visible multiple times as it winds through the plains of Hungary and Austria.

🌉

Oresund Bridge

The iconic engineering marvel connecting Denmark to Sweden, visible during the final approach into Kastrup.

The right side offers a spectacular view of Mount Olympus shortly after takeoff. Keep an eye out for the Danube River as it snakes through Belgrade and Budapest. On arrival into CPH, if the aircraft lands from the south on Runway 04, the Oresund Bridge is perfectly visible. This side is also better for sunrise views on early morning flights.

🌊

Gulf of Corinth

Deep blue waters separating the Peloponnese from mainland Greece shortly after departure.

🏔️

Pindus Mountains

The rugged 'spine of Greece' featuring limestone peaks and deep gorges.

🏝️

Dalmatian Coast

A breathtaking view of the Croatian archipelago with its turquoise waters and rocky islands.

🏔️

Eastern Alps

Glaciated peaks of the Austrian and Slovenian Alps visible as you cross into Central Europe.

🏰

Prague Skyline

The 'City of a Hundred Spires' is often visible to the west during the mid-flight cruise.

Sit on the left for incredible views of the Adriatic coastline and the Croatian islands. If you are flying in the late afternoon, this side will catch the golden hour over the Alps, though glare might be an issue. In winter, the snow-covered peaks of the Dinaric Alps are particularly striking.
