Our Recommendation
8.5

Right Side of the Plane

While both sides offer excellent European vistas, the Right Side is superior for its direct views of the Pyrenees crossing and the scenic descent along the Costa del Sol coastline.

Right Side Highlights
8.5
🌊

Benelux Coastline

Aerial views of the North Sea, the Dutch dikes, and the bustling ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp.

🏔️

The Pyrenees

The dramatic natural border between France and Spain, featuring jagged, often snow-dusted peaks.

🏰

Castilian Meseta

The vast, high-altitude central plateau of Spain with its distinctive red and golden earth tones.

🌅

Guadalquivir Valley

The fertile river basin of Andalusia leading toward the Mediterranean coast.

🏖️

Costa del Sol

The sparkling turquoise waters and white-washed coastal towns of the Malaga province during final approach.

The right side is ideal for afternoon or evening flights to catch the sunset over the Atlantic/Bay of Biscay. It offers the most dramatic views of the Pyrenees. If the plane approaches AGP from the sea (common in southerly winds), you will see the entire city and port from this side.

Left Side Highlights
7.8
🌉

Øresund Bridge

The massive bridge and tunnel system connecting Malmö and Copenhagen shortly after departure.

🏙️

Paris Vistas

On many routes, the eastern side of the aircraft offers glimpses of the sprawling Paris metropolitan area.

🌋

Massif Central

The rugged volcanic landscape and green plateaus of south-central France.

🇪🇸

Madrid Barajas

Clear views of one of Europe's largest airports and the eastern outskirts of the Spanish capital.

🏔️

Sierra Nevada

Stunning snow-capped peaks of Andalusia, including Mulhacén, the highest point in mainland Spain.

Sit on the left for morning flights to avoid direct sunlight and to capture the best views of the Sierra Nevada mountains during the final descent into Malaga. This side is also better for spotting the Øresund Bridge right after takeoff from GOT.
