Passengers on the right will see the Chicago city grid and a sweeping view of the downtown skyline and Lake Michigan as the aircraft climbs away from the South Side.
The right side offers a superior perspective of the rolling Texas Hill Country during descent and generally enjoys better lighting for photography away from the direct southern sun.
The Right Side (Starboard) is generally preferred for this short hop, offering the best chance to see the iconic Chicago skyline during the initial climb-out from Midway and a superior view of the gold-domed Iowa State Capitol when approaching Des Moines.
