TUCAEP

Our Recommendation
8.5

Left Side of the Plane

The left side offers a superior view during the approach to Buenos Aires, showcasing the Paraná Delta and the iconic city skyline of Puerto Madero and Microcentro before landing at the coastal airport.

Left Side Highlights

⛰️

Sierra de San Javier

Upon departure, you will see the lush green foothills of the Andes that surround the city of Tucumán.

🌾

The Humid Pampas

Enormous agricultural plots in the Santa Fe province create a vast patchwork quilt of green and gold.

🌿

Paraná Delta

A complex network of islands and brown-water channels where the Paraná River meets the Río de la Plata.

🏡

Northern Suburbs

Clear views of the upscale residential areas of San Isidro, Olivos, and the presidential residence.

🏙️

Buenos Aires Skyline

During the final descent into AEP, the skyscraper-filled skyline of Puerto Madero is visible in stunning detail.

Sit on the left (Seat A) for the most dramatic entrance into Buenos Aires. If you are flying in the late afternoon, the sun will be behind you, illuminating the city buildings perfectly. Try to get a seat forward of the wing to ensure your view of the Delta and the city skyline is not obstructed by the engine.

Right Side Highlights

💧

Salí River

The main waterway of Tucumán is visible shortly after takeoff as the plane heads south-southeast.

🚜

Agricultural Heartland

Deep views into the rural heart of Argentina, including large-scale grain silos and 'estancias'.

🌊

Río de la Plata

The world's widest estuary dominates the view on approach, appearing like a vast brown sea.

🚢

Cargo Shipping Lanes

Look for large container ships and tankers queued up to enter the Port of Buenos Aires.

While the right side (Seat F) is less scenic for the landing, it offers great views of the sun reflecting off the Río de la Plata. On exceptionally clear days, you may be able to spot the outline of the Uruguayan coast across the water. Morning flights are particularly bright on this side due to the eastern sun over the river.
