While both sides offer views of massive diamond mines, the Right Side is preferred for the final approach into Polyarny, providing a direct perspective of the Udachnaya pipe, one of the deepest man-made holes on Earth.
The right side offers a superior vantage point for the transition into the Central Siberian Plateau and provides the best opportunity to view the massive Udachnaya diamond pipe during the descent into Polyarny.
The left side provides a superior view of the Lena River shortly after takeoff and offers the best chance to see the massive Udachnaya open-pit diamond mine during the approach to Polyarny.
