The descent provides a bird's-eye view of the dense cluster of houses in Røst village and the expansive wooden stockfish drying racks scattered across the islands.
The left side provides the most dramatic perspective of the Lofoten archipelago's inner coastline, the famous Moskenstraumen maelstrom, and the striking peaks of Værøy island during the descent.
The right side offers the most iconic perspective of the 'Lofoten Wall' (Lofotveggen), where the dramatic granite peaks of the archipelago rise sharply from the Arctic Ocean.
