While the left side captures the iconic twin volcanoes during departure, the right side offers a more direct view of the Nevado de Toluca and the spectacular coastal panorama of Zihuatanejo Bay and Ixtapa upon arrival.
The right side of the aircraft offers spectacular coastal views of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific coastline, including prominent bays and beach resorts, while avoiding the harsh glare of the morning sun during typical southbound morning departures.
The left side offers the most dramatic views of the Sierra Madre Oriental's limestone ridges and the rugged, forested peaks of the Sierra Madre del Sur as you descend from the high plateau toward the Pacific coast.
The Left Side (Port) provides an incredible vantage point for the diverse geography of the Mexican mainland, including the massive Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range and the spectacular active volcanoes near Colima.
The left side is superior primarily for the immediate, close-up view of the Nevado de Toluca volcano after takeoff and the scenic approach into Zihuatanejo Bay.
