Passengers will see the rugged, treeless peaks of the Brooks Range rising sharply from the tundra, with the John River snaking through the valley floor.
The left side offers the most dramatic views of the towering peaks in the central Brooks Range, including the legendary Mount Doonerak, and provides a clear perspective of the John River's path as it carves through the Gates of the Arctic wilderness.
While both sides offer spectacular views of the Alaskan wilderness, the right side provides a superior look at the Gates of the Arctic National Park and the best chance to spot Denali on the horizon as you approach Fairbanks.
