Sitting on the right side provides a panoramic view of the remote island's rugged plateau and the massive bird colonies nesting along the cliffs during the final approach.
The left side offers unparalleled views of the iconic active volcanoes of the Aleutian Range and the rugged coastline of the Alaska Peninsula before heading out over the Bering Sea.
The left side is slightly preferred as it provides a superior view of the village of St. George and the eastern volcanic formations of the islands during the short inter-island hop.
